KidFish 2026 Ice Fishing Derby — Event Winners

The 2026 KidFish Ice Fishing Derby brought anglers of all ages and skill levels together for a day of community, outdoor adventure, and giving back. From first-time young anglers to experienced participants, the event celebrated Manitoba’s passion for fishing while raising funds in support of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Thanks to the incredible support of volunteers, partners, sponsors, and families, this year’s derby was another unforgettable success on the ice.

The annual charity ice fishing derby proved to be a remarkable success this year, bringing together the community for a day of excitement, generosity, and winter fun. Participation surged, with a total of 1,307 tickets sold—nearly double last year’s turnout. 400 tickets were purchased on-site, showing strong walk-up interest and enthusiasm.

Beyond attendance, the event delivered impressive results in support of its charitable mission. Altogether, approximately $81,000 was generated through a combination of donations, prizes, cash contributions, and services. From this, a total of $51,508.40 was raised directly for our charities.

The derby not only highlighted the generosity of participants and sponsors but also demonstrated growing community support, setting a new benchmark for future events.
