Mark your calendars for Sunday February 15, 2026, and prepare for an unforgettable day on the Red River in Selkirk, Manitoba. The KidFish Ice Fishing Derby is back, offering a family-friendly event that combines the thrill of fishing with the joy of giving back at the KidFish Ice Fishing Derby 2025.

By participating you’re helping us raise funds to help support two vital organizations. To date Kidfish has raised over $450,000 for
- Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba: Dedicated to improving the health and well-being of children in our community.
- CancerCare Manitoba Foundation: Committed to supporting cancer research and patient care in Manitoba.
Event Features:
- Prizes for Top 10 fish, as well as prizes for the Top 5 kids Fish (not already included in the top 10)Top 10 prizes are open to all ages.
- Fishing Fun: Open to all ages and skill levels, with prizes for various categories.
- Family Activities: Enjoy games, food, and entertainment throughout the day.
- Prizes and Giveaways: Exciting prizes for top catches and random draws are made for anyone who purchases a ticket. Pick up/shipping is the winners responsibility.
- Free Ice Fishing Rod/Reel Combo for the first 600 kids through the gate!
Since 2015, the KidFish Ice Derby, with help from the fishing community of Manitoba, have been raising money for The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and the Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation
